New Zealand Singing School Logo Students at the New Zealand Singing School

The New Zealand Singing School Trust is pleased to advise that enrolments for the 2017 IFAC Handa New Zealand Singing School open on 31st May 2016. The School will take place from 5th to 15th January, at the Eastern Institute of Technology, Napier.

Apply online from 31 May at www.singingschool.org.nz for enrolments for:

  • Trainee Tutor/Trainee Accompanist

CAPTIVATING CALLIGRAPHY at the British Museum

IFAC Japan supported an event by our partner organisation IFAC UK.

On Saturday 29th November Dr Haruhisha Handa performed a demonstration of the art of Japanese calligraphy.

Adviser to the Modern Japanese Calligraphers Association and author of several books on the subject, Dr Handa created small paintings and, using an enormous three kilogram brush, larger examples of the art.

The 15th International High School Arts Festival at The National Art Center, Tokyo, Supported by IFAC.

This year, students from Japan and 13 other countries entered 11,547 pieces, including fine art and calligraphies, of which 394 were exhibited at the renowned National Art Center, Tokyo, in Minato Ward's Roppongi district.
